Pictures from Taipei! I better blogged now before I start to forget about this getaway trip.
My favourite stop throughout the whole journey - Jiufen! We reached Jiufen at about 9pm when most of the shops were already closed. For a moment, I think most of us were at a lost for what to do because Jiufen is not part of Taipei. To leave Jiufen and take another few hours train journey back to Taipei would be a really dumb choice. So we made an impromptu decision to stay in their Ming Su for the night.

Fortunately, we met many nice and approachable people from Jiufen telling us what we can do. Or else, we really have no idea where to find a Ming Su at such hour.

The Cha Guan we went to for dinner. The view from this teahouse is extremely captivating. The surrounding is so tranquil. I feel so at peace while having my dinner there. Plus the place is filled with many traditional and antique-like furnishings, I feel like I'm in ancient times. Haha! There's this group of very hospitable Taiwanese we met there, making us feel more at home. Lady boss also gave us special discount. Sigh~ It's an unforgettable night. I miss that place!

The next morning, we started our frenzied shopping in Jiufen. We lugged back lots of Taiwanese snacks from Jiufen. I miss their mua chee su! I like the day of Jiufen too. You won't be able to find a street like that in SG. Sigh~ I wish I could go back there once more.
The next best destination will have to be fisherman's wharf and lover's bridge.
I was looking through all my photos and realised we took many nice pictures there. I love the picture which capture how the boats are decked. Not to forget the sunset pic with orange-blue sky!

In the evening, a milder version of what we had in the day - Miramar Ferris Wheel.

At Raohe NM. I love Raohe NM because it's one of the easier NM to walk.
We visited the campus where Jay Chou filmed his Secret movie. The place in real isn't as pretty as what was shown on screen. I think Jay Chou did a really good job capturing the beauty of this school in his movie.

Dinner at Jay Chou's restaurant. I feel like a Jay Chou fan now. Surprisingly, the food was not bad. I was expecting a far worse one because the first night when we had our dinner at a theme restaurant, the food was lousy. Price was reasonable too. : D

How can we give Shilin NM a miss? We went Shilin NM three times and it's only on our third try, we managed to find the food area. I feel so stupid. Really thankful to have Stacy, Cherie's Taiwanese friend to show us around.

Hehe~ 2 ladies who can't stand the stench of Chou Toufu!
Taipei 101 on our last day of our itinerary.
Our last meal in Taipei - Steamboat! They got weird food like cheese in mua chee. Yes, dipped inside steamboat somemore.
I have to upload this pic because the milk tea from 50 wan is really nice! You can choose how sweet you want your drink to be. I ordered my usual, milk tea with mini pearls. Sigh~ missing it now.
And that marks the end of my Taipei trip. I would love to go there once more. The next time I go, I shall visit the more exotic part of Taipei. Awaiting my next getaway trip. To BKK right?!?!

I'm very glad!
I managed to clear 3 papers out of 4 for the last seating! YEAH! Thus, I only have 1 more fundamental paper to clear. In total, 6 more papers to clear. Happy! Happy! At least now I've cleared 5 papers, that's like half of the ACCA course! Hehe~
You know how lucky am I? 50 marks for F5 and F9. Super heng lo! I believe the marker did some moderation to my marks. Because a lot of people got 50 for these papers.
I'm still happy though! = D

Back to Singapore. Back to sucky life.
Taiwan not exactly great, but it's the companion that make the whole trip a fun one!
I'll definitely do up the album quick once I've got hold of all the pictures. We have over 1000 pictures taken by 5 different cameras - Canon IXUS, Canon PowerShot, Sony Cybershot, Fujifilm FinePix and Panasonic Lumix. Will do the updating too, but not so soon la, very busy...
Got to sleep soon. Sian~ Tomorrow 8.30am work. I super duper hate working life lo!

I can't believe I'm leaving for Taiwan in less than a week!
Looking very very forward to it.
But I still have many things I've yet to do! This week is going to be very busy. Closing period somemore! NO TIME!
Anyway, here's one picture from Bintan to feed this entry. Bintan is definitely a great place to relax. I think they also offer many water activities. I want to try their banana boat the next time I go! Things are not cheap at Bintan either. Or maybe I should say at the Bintan resort to be specific. Massage costs SG$60! I was expecting a much lower rate.

This chio Canon IXUS 80 IS is now MINE! WAHAHAHA! Bought it at $399 @ Harvey Norman. It just comes with lesser freebies if you compare this to the $429 package they offer. I thought it is still a great deal though. Can't wait to snap my first pic, probably in Bintan or at Timbre this coming Saturday!
Yes, Bintan. My company will be having a retreat over there this coming week. So I'll be out of Singapore for 2 days. Come back and let you guys know if Bintan is a nice place to relax. Haha... I was jokingly telling my mum that I'll probably come back with a rich Indonesia chinese man.
Regarding work, it has been so far so good. I'm still at the adapting stage - the stage I hate most.
Putting work aside, there's still something happy to talk about this week:

As the subject suggests, I'm officially employed. By SPH as an Accounts Associate. I'm feeling quite neutral about my employment. Neither happy nor unhappy.
Everything seems so unreal though. I can't believe I'm starting work this coming Wednesday. From the day when I had my interview, to the day when I signed the employment contract, it all happened within a few days. I'm no longer classified as a 'student' anymore. From Wednesday onwards, I'm a permanent full-time worker, and this name shall follow me for a long long time. *BIG SIGH* Cannot enjoy the waking-up-late benefit that a student has liao.
But I'm still happy because I can finally stop bumming around at home. And there will be a regular income which I look forward to every month. I want camera, laptop, LV bag, red-plate car, and the list goes on and on...
Every job has its pros and cons, so I'm not going to elaborate on that. I have a friend who once worked in SPH before and her comments were all pretty negative. I just hope I won't share the same experience as her.
So a job solves my financial woes, but it probes another question - what am I going to do with all my present tuition assignments? I definitely do not want to look as though I'm shirking the responsibility by telling them I have to stop tuition immediately. But I also do not want them to be tied down with a tutor who is not flexible and can't commit. HELP! I really don't know how to face the mothers.
